福寿草は春を告げる代表的な花です。
綺麗な黄色の花を初春に咲かせます。

一時期は環境省より、絶滅危惧種に認定されていましたが、2007年の8月に解除されています。
しかし、自生の福寿草が貴重なことには変わりがありません。
都道府県によっては、絶滅危惧種に指定されています。
自生の福寿草を持ち帰らないことは、誰にでも出来る保護の1つです。

Until 2007, Fukuju-so was listed on the red list as "Vulnerable" species by Japanese Ministry of the Environment.
However, wild Fukuju-so is still rare and should be protected.
Furthermore, some prefectural governments list Fukuju-so on their red list as endanger species.
Do not bring wild Fukuju-so and leave them where they grow must be the most efficient protection.

外見は和風建築物ですが、立派な教会です。

Hon-do was constructed in Nara-era (8th Century) and registered as National Treasure by Japanese government.
Inside of Hon-do, Yakushi Nyorai (National Treasure) and Juni Shinso (National Treasure) are housed.
