よさこい踊りの特徴は鳴子を持って踊ります。

楽曲のアレンジも認められているため、盆踊りスタイルの正調から様々なアレンジの加わったスタイルまで楽しむことが出来ます。

Yosakoi Matsuri (Yosakoi Festival) is the one of the biggest festival in summer in Kochi.

The first Yosakoi Matsuri was held in 1954.

Dancers hold Naruko (clapper?) and use it for their dance.

Original Yosakoi is "Bon Odori" style.
However, since the music arrangemnet was allowed, there are so many new styles appeaerd.
This movements made Yosakoi famous and now many places have Yosakoi festival too.

お城は作りや外観が古風（安土桃山時代の様式）であり、それがかえって新鮮に見えます。
本丸御殿内も非常に美しい作りをしています。

Kochi-jo (Kochi Castle) stands on the enter of Kochi city.
This castle is one of twelve castles which remain the castle tower in Japan.
Not only the bergfried, there are another historical significant architectures remain.

The castle itself has "Azuchi-Momoyama period" style on the appearance and structures.
Therefore this style gives "old fashion" but also, "something new".
Honmaru goten has beautiful interior decorations.

坂本龍馬像で有名な桂浜は、高知県の観光名所の一つです。
また月の名所として知られています。
とても美しい海岸ですが、潮流が早く遊泳は禁止です。
海難事故も起きており、波打ち際には近づかないようにしましょう。

Katsura hama is one of the famous sightseeing destination in Kochi prefecture.
Especially, the statue of Ryoma Sakamoto who is very popular Samurai among Japanese.
Furthermore, this beach is well known as the place to enjoy Tsukimi (moon-viewing).
However, the tide is extremely fast therefore, DO NOT be close to the water edge.
Swimming in here is completely PROHIBITED.
