奈良県斑鳩にある「ほうきじ」は、かつては「ほっきじ」と呼ばれていました。
世界遺産への登録を機に、法隆寺と同じ読みに変えたそうです。

境内にある三重塔（国宝）は飛鳥時代（706年頃）に建てられた、現存する日本最古の三重塔です。
また法隆寺と共に、1993年に日本で最初の世界遺産に登録されました。

Hoki-ji in Ikaruga, Nara Prefecture used to be called "Hokki-ji".
However, this temple is now called as "Hoki-ji" to be the same pronunciation as "Horyu-ji" since Houkiji was recognized as a World Heritage site.
Sanju-no-to (National Treasure) was built in Aska Era (around year 706).
This is the oldest remaining Sanju-no-to in Japan.

拝観料 300円
JR法隆寺駅、法隆寺駅バス停（2番乗り場）より、小泉行きバス（81番）に乗車。
法起寺前バス停下車、すぐ。
約8分、220円。
ただし土曜日と日祝日に1本のみ運行（9:15）。
法隆寺より徒歩約25分。

8:30 - 16:30（4th Nov - 21st Feb）
Entrance fee 300 Yen
Take Bus Route 81 to Koizumi from "Horyu-ji Eki" bus station(No 2 bus bay) at JR Horyu-ji station.
Then, get off the bus at "Hoki-ji mae" bus stop and right front.
Take about 8 mins, 220 Yen.
However, the bus service is extremely limited.
Only one in Saturday or Sunday, Public holiday (Depart at 9:15).
About 25 mins walk from Horyu-ji.
