 八王子市の西部、高尾にある多摩森林科学園には、広大な桜保存林があります。

日本全国の桜が約250種類（野生種、品種改良種含めて）1400本が植えられ、保存されているため、１か月近く桜を楽しむことが出来ます。

Tama Forest Science Gardens located in Takao, Hachioji, Tokyo.

This place is famous for Sakura Preservation Forests which is large area and about 250 species both wild and cultivated species, 1400 Sakura trees are planted.
Therefore, we can enjoy Sakura for a month.

Sakkura Preservation Forests are huge area and it takes between 1 and 3 hours to walk through.

羽村取水堰（羽村堰）は江戸の発展に大きく寄与した施設です。
この堰から多摩川の水を玉川上水に取り入れます。
玉川上水は43km先の四谷まで続いています。

1654年に作られ、玉川上水の一部は当時の姿のまま現在も使用されています。
玉川兄弟が上水の工事を請け負ったと伝えられています。

また、桜の木が植えられ、桜の名所にもなっており、さくら祭りが開催されます。
残念ながら、訪れた数日前に降った雪と雨のため、桜は散ってしまってました。

Hamura Intake Weir was a significant facility to have developed Edo ( = old Tokyo).
This weir intake water from Tamagawa (Tama river) to Tamagawa Josui (Tamagawa Aqueduct) which is leading to Yotsuya, about 43km.

水上公園裏の枝垂桜はまだ満開でした。

 These Weir and Aqueduct were said that constructed by Tamagawa brothers.
Those facilities were completed in 1654 and also a part of Tamagawa Aqueduct has still used with the original form.

 Furthermore, Sakura were planted around the weir and the aqueduct so that this area became famous Sakura spot.
Thus, Sakura festival is held every year.
Unfortunately, Sakura already dropped their lovely flowers before my visit due to the snowy and rainy days few days ago.

このプロムナードには桜が植えられており、桜の名所になっています。

Ookagawa Promenade (Ooka river Promenade) is located between Hinode-machi and Gumyo-ji along Ooka river.
There are Sakura tree lines along this promenade therefore this area is famous Sakura spot.

 This time, I walked from Gumyo-ji station(Keikyu Line) to Idogaya station (Keikyu Line).

徳島県南部に位置する那賀町は自然豊かな町です。
その那賀町ですが、残念なことに桜を楽しめる場所は非常に限られています。

その中でも相生地区は綺麗な桜を楽しむことが出来ます。
撮影に出かけた際は、満開を過ぎてしまっていたので残念な写真になっております。

Naka-cho, Tokushima Prefecture is a small town surrounded by rich nature.
However, Sakura spots are really limited.

徳島県南部の阿南市にある、岩脇さくらづつみ公園は、綺麗な桜並木があります。
ただ、車が通過するのでお気をつけ下さい。

同じく徳島県南部の勝浦町の生名地区は、夜桜よりも昼間に訪れる方が、より桜の美しさを実感できそうです。

Shidare zakura were planted everywhere in Kamiyama-cho, Tokushima prefecture.
The convination of Shidare zakura (Prunus pendula) and Rengyo (Green forsythis / Forsythia viridisima)is fantastic.

Iwawaki Sakura Dutsumi Koen in Anan-shi, sourthen Tokushima has lovely Sakura tree lines.
Please be careful your back because that road is not closed to vehicular traffic and not pedestrian zone.
Therefore cars drive along this street as everyday affair.

Ikuna area in Katsuura-cho, southern Tokushima has Sakura tree lines along the river.
I visited at night but I felt it is better to come during the day time.
This is because I can celebrate Sakura's beauty better than night time.
