汽水湖として有名な宍道湖。
残念ながら、その水は富栄養化が進んでいるそうです。
しかし、宍道湖からの夕日の美しさは有名です（今回は写真撮影ができませんでした）。

そして宍道湖の漁獲量の約9割を占めるヤマトシジミを、ぜひお試しください。
宍道湖しじみ館では、しじみカレーやしじみバーガーを食べることができます。

Shijimi jiru (=Shijimi Miso soup)

Shinji-ko (Lake Shinji) is a famous brackish lake in Japan.
Unfortunately, its water has eutrophication problem.
However, sunset view is absolutely beautiful although I could not take that photo.

Furthermore, please try Shijimi (Corbicula japonica).
Shijimi is most popular products of Lake Shinji and very famous among Japan.

島根県松江市に小泉八雲（ラフカディオ・ハーン）の住んでいた邸宅があります。

この武家屋敷に約5ヶ月間滞在し、熊本へ転任しました。

小泉八雲の多くの作品が、この家で書かれました。

Koizumi Yakumo (Lafcadio Hearn) lived in Matsue-shi, Shimane Prefecture.

He stayed the Buke Yashiki (a samurai residence) for eight monthes then he moved to Kumamoto Prefecture.

Most of his works were written in this house named Koizumi Yakumo Kyukyo (Koizumi Yakumo's Former Residence).

Buke-Yashiki itself is lovely but also the garden which influenced on Koizumi Yakumo is truly lovely.

ここからは天気がよければ隠岐の島まで見る事ができるそうです。

白く美しい美保関灯台は、フランス人の技師により1898年に建設をされました。

山陰地方最古の石造りの灯台で、世界灯台100選にも選ばれています。
また、灯台としては日本で最初に国の登録有形文化財に認定されてる、非常に貴重な灯台です。

Mihono Seki is located on the east end of Shimane Peninsula.
You can see "Oki no Shima" from here when the weather is fine.

A white beautiful lighthouse is constructed by French engineer in 1898.
This "Miho o Seki Todai" (Mihono Seki lighthouse) is recognized as one of the world 100 featured lighthouse by IALA.
In addition, Mihono Seki Todai is listed as the "Tangible Cultural Property" by Japanese government.
Because, this lighthouse is oldest around Sanin region and has significant historical value.

This is Miho Jinja (Miho Shirine) in Matsue-shi, Shimane Prefecture.
Honden (Main hall) has "Taisha-zukuri" character and it is also listed as "Important Cultural Property" by Japanese government.

Taisha-zukuri is the oldest Shinto shrine style and seen around Sanin area.
Izumo Oyashiro's Honden is the most popular example of this style.
