藍染は徳島県を代表する伝統文化です。
植物の藍より生み出される色は、とても美しいです。
藍色はその美しさから、「ジャパンブルー」や「ヒロシゲブルー」と海外では呼ばれることがあり、「インディゴ」と区別されるほどです。

今回は「本藍染矢野工場」さんで、藍染め体験をさせて頂きました。
初めての挑戦でしたが、丁寧なご指導のおかげで無事に染めることが出来ました。

Aizome (Ai / Indigo Dyeing) is the one of traditional culture in Tokushima.
This beautiful blue color is made from Ai (Indigo plant : Persicaria tinctoria).
Ai dolor is also called "Japan blue" or "Hiroshige blue" to make a distinciton from indigo color.

This time, I had Aizome lesson at Hon Aizome Yano Kojo in Itano, Tokushima.
It was first time for me but gentle stuffs taught me how to do.
Therefore, I did it successfully.

About 15 mins drive from Itano IC (Takamatsu Expressway) or Aizumi IC (Tokushima Expressway)
