石庭で有名な龍安寺です。
訪れた際は、残念ながら工事中のため庭の全景を楽しむことが出来ませんでした。
しかし方丈庭園（特別名勝）の美しさは本物です。
また1606年に建てられた方丈は世界遺産にも登録をされています。

Ryoan-ji is very famous for the Karesansui (dry landscape rack garden)garden.
Unfortunately, this beautiful temple was under the renovation when I visited there.
However, the Hojo garden(Special Scenic Beauty Garden) is absolutely beautiful.
In addition, Hojo which was built in 1606 is listed on the World Heritage.

世界遺産に登録をされております。
金閣寺も美しいですが、池泉船遊式庭園（ちせんせんゆうしきていえん）も素晴らしいです。
この庭園は国の特別名勝（特別名勝庭園は全国で23庭園）に指定されております。

金閣 - Golden pavilion

Rokuon-ji is know as Kinkaku-ji (Golen Pavillion) which is listed as a World Heritage.
Golden pavilion is the absolutely beautiful but the garden (Boating pond style) is fantastic too.
Moreover, this garden is recognized as "Special Scenic Beauty Garden" which are only 23 gardens in Japan.

一つの町を形成しているような大きさを持つ、大徳寺。
禅寺としてとても有名です。
伽藍（寺院建築物）も荘厳の一言です。
多くの建築物が重要文化財に登録されていますが、その中でも唐門は国宝です（写真が無くて申し訳ございません）。

龍源院、高桐院、瑞峯院、大仙院と常時見学の出来るお寺があります。
しかし、瑞峯院は工事中（2010年1月3日現在）のため拝観出来ません。
また大仙院には美しい庭園がありますが、写真撮影が禁止のため本ブログでは紹介をしません。

三門 : 重要文化財
Sanmon : Important Cultural Property

Daitoku-ji occepied huge land as if this temple forms a small town.
This Daitoku-ji is a famous Zen temple.
Architectures are solemn.

Many architectures are recognized as Important Cultural Property, especially "Kara-mon" is known as National Treasure (I'm sorry but no pictures).

There are four temples (Ryogen-in, Koto-in, Zuiho-in and Daisen-in) where we can visit during the day time.
However, Zuiho-in is under the renovation (on 3rd Jan 2010 ) so no one can enter.
Also, Daisen-in has a beautiful garden but taking photo is not allowed.
Therefore, I do not introduce Daisen-in in this blog.

せり割り岩は不思議な言い伝えを持つ岩です。
大うなぎが岩の間に入り込み、そこから出られなくなったそうです。
その母うなぎのために、子うなぎたちが餌をせっせと運んでいるうちに、母うなぎは更に大きくなりました。
ある日、大きくなった母うなぎの体が岩を割ってしまいました。
それがせり割り岩だそうです。

今でも、この岩の隙間は大うなぎ達の隠れ家となっているそうです。
またこの大うなぎの生息地は、国の天然記念物に指定をされています。

Seriwari-iwa has an interesting legend.
A big mother eel was inside of the rock but could not get out from there.
Then kids eels brought foods to their mother and a mother's body was being bigger inside of the rock.
One day, her grown body broke that rock.
After that, that rock was named as Seriwari Iwa.

Even now, the big eels are love to live in the Seriwari Iwa.
Besides, this area is listed as "Natural Monument" by Japanese Government.

化石蓮痕（かせきれんこん）は、波の跡が化石となったものです。
この宍喰の化石蓮痕は非常に広範囲（30m×20m）で見られる非常に貴重なものです。
国の天然記念物にも指定をされております。

室戸岬灯台のライトは、日本最大の大きさを持つだけでなく、非常に高い歴史的価値を持った貴重な灯台です。


もちろん風景も楽しむ事が出来ます。
室戸岬は名勝に指定されています。

Where is the very famous place as a typhoon's landing point.
