The weathercock on the top of spire is the icon of Kitano-cho.
Therefore, this house is called "Kazamidori-no-Yakata" (Weathercock house).

1903年に建てられ、至る所に美しさを感じることができる国指定重要文化財です。

庭には1995年の阪神・淡路大震災の際に崩落した煙突が、そのままの姿で保存されています。


Kobayashi Residence (Former Hunter Residence) has a light yellowish green outer wall.
Due to this appearance, this housing is called "Moegi-no-Yakata" (Yellowish green color residence).
Moegi-no-Yakata was built in 1903 and listed as Important Cultural Property.
You can see many beautiful design in detail.

またこの異人館が立ち並ぶ地域は、重要伝統的建造物群保存地区に指定されています。

きつい坂の上にあるので、歩きやすい靴をお勧めします。

Kitano-cho in Kobe city is very famous tourist destination due to the Ijin-kan (Western Style Residences).
Nearly 30 Western Style Residences which were built between the middle of Meiji era and the earlyTaisho era still remain.
Which means those western style dwellings are 100 years old and novelty in Japan.

Among those architectures, Uroko-no-Ie (Uroko residence / Old Harrier Residence) is known as Important Cultural Asset, Moegi-no-Yakata (Moegi Residence / Old Shrap Residence) and Kazamidori-no-Yakata (Kazamidori Residence / Old Thomas Residence) are recognized as Important Cultural Property.
In addition, these area is listed as Important Preservation Districts for Groups of Traditional Buildings.  
You have to walk the steep slopes therefore, the walking shoes are recommended.
