世界遺産に登録されている薬師寺は680年に名前が歴史上に現れ、710年に現在の場所に移されました。

焼失した伽藍の復興事業が進められ、金堂、西塔、中門、大講堂、廻廊が再建されました。
玄奘三蔵院伽藍は1991年に建立されました。

東院堂（国宝）は1285年に建てられました、歴史的な建物です。

また、東塔（国宝）は奈良時代に建てられたもので、薬師寺に現存する建物の中で一番の歴史を持ちます。
なお東塔は、2009年から2018年まで解体修理が行われる予定です。

Yakushi-ji (Yakushi-ji temple) which is a World Heritage Site was set in the current place in 710.

Many of buildings were burnt therefore, the reconstruction preject had run.
Result of the reconstruction plan, Kon-do, Sai-to, Chu-mon, Daiko-do and Kai-ro were rebuilt.
Genjo Sanzo-in Garan was built in 1991.

In terms of the historical buildings, Toin-do was built in 1285 and is recognized as National Treasure.

In addition, To-to (National Treasure) was constructed in Nara Era.
This beautiful tower has the oldest history among the architectures at Yakushi-ji.
To-to is under the repair from 2009 to 2018.

徒歩約3分。
JR奈良駅、奈良駅バス乗り場（10番）より、六条山行き（63・70・72系統）に乗車。
薬師寺バス停下車。（約20分、250円）
徒歩2分。
唐招提寺より徒歩約10分。

3 mins walk from "Nishi-no-kyo" station (Kintetsu Kashihara Line)
Take Bus route 63・70・72 (Rokujo Yama) from "JR Nara-eki" bus station (No 10 bus bay).
Get off the bus at "Yakushi-ji" bus stop. (About 20 mins, 250 Yen).
Then 2 mins walk.
10 mins walk from Toshodai-ji
