浅草の浅草寺周辺を歩いてきました。
仲見世は多くの人で賑わっており活気に満ちていました。
そして、外国人の方々の姿を多く見かけました。
東京で「Japan」を感じることの出来る場所だけあります。

ここを訪れるたびに、あげまんを買ってしまいます。

浅草寺の本堂は改修工事中ですが、参拝は出来ます。

隅田川にかかる吾妻橋付近には、有名なアサヒビール本社ビルがあります。
また吾妻橋からは水上バスを使って、台場、浜離宮へ行くことが出来ます。


I visited Asakusa area, particularly around Sensoji.
Nakamise Dori is the main street and also main shopping area.
Therefore, many people both Japanese and foreign visitors enjoy the shopping.
Here is one of places that we can feel 'Japan' in Tokyo.

Everytime I come here, I eat 'Ageman' (deep fried bun).

Hon-do (Main building) is under renovation however we can enter the inside.

Near Azumabashi, there is a famous Asahi Breweries Headquarter building.
Also, water bus departs from this bridge.
They will take you to Daiba or Hamarikyu Gardens.

山梨県大月市にある猿橋は日本三奇橋の一つです。
パッと見は普通の橋ですが、橋脚を持たないとても珍しい橋です。
国の名勝に指定をされています。

'Saruhashi' is one of "three unique bridges" in Japan.
At the first glant, it looks the ordinary bridge.
However, this bridge does not have the piers.
This bridge is recognized as "Scenic Beauty" by Japanese Government.

歩道が狭いので、歩くときはご注意ください。
駅、猿橋までの道程には地図が無いので、お気をつけ下さい。

日本では少し珍しい風景をご紹介。
丸の内にある壁面緑化の実例です。
日本ではあまり普及していない壁面緑化ですが、この技術は世界でもトップクラスです。
海外の著名な作品に、日本の会社の壁面緑化の技術が使われることは珍しくありません。

Green wall is very rare in Japan although Japanese companies have the high skills and technologies.
This fact is an embarrassing and sad side of this county.
I saw this project at Marunouchi area very close to Tokyo station.

皇居東御苑に初めて行って来ました。
宮内庁の管轄だけあって、とても丁寧に手入れがされていました。
また芝生が開放されているところがあり、芝生の上で寝転がって桜を眺めるという贅沢な時間の使い方が出来ました。

お昼時は近隣で働く人たちがお弁当を片手に、この綺麗な庭園を楽しんでいました。

入場の際に札を受け取りますが、帰る際はどの門からでも退園できます。
予約も必要なく、無料で開放されているのが嬉しいです。
モミジが多く植えられていたので、紅葉の時期も華やかに彩られることでしょう。

Kokyo Higashi Gyo-en (East Gardens of the Imperial Palace) is managed by The Imperial Household Agency.
Therefore, all plants are well maintained and their condition are good too.
Significantly, some part of lawn area is opened to the people.
(Generally speaking, we cannot enter the lawn area in Japan somehow...)
Thus, we can lie on the lawn and can enjoy Sakura.
It is nice, isn't it?

In addition, this site is used to be Edo Castle.
So you can see the gates are very much traditional style.

At the entrance gate, we will recieve a 'card' but we can exit any gates.
The other good thing is, No reservation and no entrance fee.
Many Acer trees are planted on this site therefore, we should visit here in the late Autumn too

駒込にある国指定の特別名勝です。
枝垂桜が有名ですが、庭園はとても美しく都会の中にあるとは思えないほどに緑豊かです。
特にツツジが美しいと評判です。

追記（2014年5月）
再度ゆっくり歩いてきました。
もみじが多く植えられているため、秋の紅葉も美しいことが容易に想像できます。

Rikugi-en is located in Komagome area, Tokyo.
This site is famous for 'Shidare zakura' (Prunus pendula 'Pendula') but also garden itself is extremely beautiful.
Therefore, this garden is designated as 'Special Scenic Beauty Garden' by Japanese government in 1953.
When you walk into Rikugi-en, you will feel like you are not in the middle of concrete jungle.
Moreover, Rhododendron brings another iconic character to this garden in a late Spring time.

I visited this beautiful garden again and walked around slowly.
Many acer trees were planted therefore I can imagine easily those will be very beautiful in autumn.

前回紹介した千鳥が淵のすぐ側にあるのが靖国神社。
ここの桜も素晴らしいです。
平和な世の中で桜を楽しむことを、先人達に感謝をすることをお忘れなく。

Yasukuni Jina (Yasukuni Shirine) is another famous spot for Cherry Blossoms. Here is extremely close to Chidorigafuchi.
This shrine is for the repose of souls of that were killed in a war since Meiji era.
Therefore, we thank for our ancestors that we live in a peaceful moment

春の東京で大好きな場所の一つが千鳥が淵です。
時期がずれてしまいましたが、桜を楽しむには最高な場所の一つです。
ボートから見上げる桜は、さぞ美しいことでしょう。

Chidorigafuchi is one of my favourite place during the Spring time in Tokyo.
We can see and enjoy the beautiful Cherry blossoms (Sakura) in the beginning of April generally.
It is surely beautiful to look up Sakura from the boat!
