横須賀にある三笠公園には、戦艦三笠が展示されています。
三笠は日露戦争時の旗艦であり、日本史に大きな影響を与えた戦艦です。
東郷平八郎大将が指揮をとったこの艦。
多くの人命を犠牲にして、今の平和な世の中に生かされているありがたさを痛感します。

三笠公園は日本の都市公園100選に選ばれています。

横須賀に来たら、海軍カレーをお忘れなく。

Battleship Mikasa is displayed at Mikasa Koen (Mikasa Park) in Yokosuka.
Mikasa was a flag ship during the Russo-Japanese War and this ship made a significant turning point on the Japanese history.
Admiral Tōgō Heihachirō was a flag captain.
We live in this peaceful moment at the cost of many lives...I would like to thank our ancestors deeply.
There is a museum inside of her.
In addition, Miaksa park is recognized as one of '100 Urban Park in Japan'.

サンシャインシティ内にあるサンシャイン水族館は、お魚だけでなく動物も飼育、展示されています。
現在、ミナミコアリクイのタエとコンブ親子が、特別展示されています。

サンシャインシティは他にもナンジャタウンやプラネタリウムなどもあり、一日中楽しめます。
ナンジャタウン内には、東京デザート共和国やリラクの森など、子どもだけでなく大人も楽しむことのできる区画もあります。

Sunshine International Aquarium is a part of Sunshine City complex.
Not only thousands of fishes, also some animals are desplayed.
Especially, Southern Tamandua is a super idol of this aquarium.

Sunshine city complex contains 'Namja Town', 'Planetarium', 'Observation Deck' and etc etc.
Therefore, they do not make you feel bored.
Namja Town is a indoor theme park.
There are 'Tokyo Desert Kyowa-koku' where you can enjoy famous sweets and 'Riraku no Mori' where you can enjoy 6 kinds of massage places in that theme park.
Both children and adults will have a good time in there.

管理事務所より城山の頂上を目指すと、八王子城跡と八王子神社へたどり着きます。
頂上の途中には曲輪跡などの遺構を目にします。

八王子という地名はこの八王子神社に由来します。
この神社は916年からの歴史があります。

また更に道を進むと富士見台に着きます。
富士見台から眺める富士山は、格別なものがあります。
険しい道を登ってきた疲れに見合うものです。
ただし、気軽に行くことのできる場所ではないのでご注意ください。

If you climb up the Shiroyama mountain from the management building, you will reach to the Hachioji Jinjya and ruin of Hachioji Castle.
Also, you can see the other ruins on the way to the top of the mountain.

Hachioji Jinjya is origin of the name 'Hachioji-shi'.
This shrine has a long history since A.D 916.

Moreover, you will arrive at Fujimidai (Observatoly to Mt Fuji) if you keep walking.
View of Mt Fuji from Fujimidai is extremely fantastic.
This will blow your fatigue and has enough price to walk up the very steep path.
However, this path is not friendly to people.
Pleas take care and I strongly do not recomend you to go there as an easy hiking.

心霊スポットとして有名な八王子城ですが、実は日本の名城100選の1つです。
東京からは、江戸城とこの八王子城が選ばれています。
そして、五大山岳城の1つでもあります。

管理事務所から歩いて10分ほどのところに主殿跡があります。
ここに残る石垣は当時のものです。（復元した部分も含みますが、出土された材を使用しています）
また、八王子城が築城された城山には、多くの遺構が残ります。
ただし「登山」となるので、ご注意ください。
実際に道は険しく、細く、通行に苦労をしました。
規模の大きなお城だったため、全ての遺構を回ることも叶いませんでした。

なお八王子城跡は、国指定の史跡です。

Hachioji-jo (Hachioji Castle) is famous for the Ghost spot.
However, this castle is recognized as one of 100 great castles in Japan.
Only two castles are chosen from Tokyo.
One is this Hachioji Castle and the other is Edo Castle which is currently the empire palace.
Furthermore, this castle is one of the five great mountaintop castles.

You will reach the ruin of lord's palace by 10 minutes walk from the management office.
There are rock walls which are constructed 400 years ago.
(Some parts are reconstructed but used materials are unerathed at this place.)
Also, there are many ruins on the mountain behind the lord's palace.
However, this mountain has steep and narrow path.
Please pay attention that it is going to be mountain climbing not a hiking.
Fact remains that this castle is huge so that I could not walk all area.

Furthermore, Hachioji Castle is recognized as "Historical Site" by Japanese Government.

高尾駅北口より「（霊園正門前経由）グリーンタウン高尾」「宝生寺団地」「恩方車庫」「高尾の森わくわくビレッジ」行きバスで「霊園前」下車。

Those shops temptate visitors by the traditional candies and sweets and also provide the nostalgic atmosphere.
Besides, here is a vehicle-free area thus this area is very friendly to the pedestrian. Moreover, this Kashiya Yokocho is recognized as one of the "100 Scent Sceneries" by Ministry of the Environment.

You can hear the bell four times a day.

小江戸川越と言えば蔵造りの街並み。
江戸時代に建てられた蔵造りは、江戸の街並みを今に残しています。
電線も地中化され、歴史的な街並みを保存し,重要伝統的建造物群保存地区として登録されています。
しかし目の前の県道を通過する車の量が多く、歩道が狭いため、散策する際はお気をつけ下さい。

Kawagoe is well know as 'Ko-edo' which means Little Edo and its townscape is based on Edo.
Kuradukuri which are built during Edo era and still remain Edo's townscape at this moment.
This area is listed as Important Preservation Districts for Groups of Traditional Buildings by Japanese government.
(Kura is the traditional store house.)
Powerlines are buried into the underground to save the historical townscape.
However, a prefectural highway through this are is extremely busy and path way is narrow.
Therefore, please pay attention to the passing vehicles.

喜多院は歴史のあるお寺です(830年に建立)。
また将軍家とも深いかかわりがあり、数多くの貴重な品が展示されています。
江戸城から移築されるなど建築物も貴重なものばかりで、多くが重要文化財に登録されています。
また500羅漢像も有名です。

Kita-in has a long history (since A.D 830).
In addition, this temple has a strong connection with Shogun during the Edo period.
Therefore, many many valuable stuffs are displayed.
Also, architectures in there have heritage value therefore most of them are recognized as Important Cultural Property.
Some of those buildings are removed from Edo castle.
500 hundreds statues (500 Rakan) are well known too.

なので中国式の建築の影響が強く出ています。
