The original houses were built during Edo era then renovated in Taisho era (from 1919 to 1928).

水と砂を使って作り出したとは思えません。
非常に美しいです。

Suna-no-Bijutsukan (Sand museum) displays "Sand arts".
It is absolutely beautiful and cannot believe that those arts are created from sands and water.
Those sands are from Tottori Sakyu.

鳥取砂丘は鳥取県を代表する観光地です。
1955年に国の天然記念物に指定され、保護され続けています。

砂丘には24時間365日いつでも入る事ができますが、照明が無いため夜間は真っ暗になります。
夜間に立ち入る際は、くれぐれもお気をつけ下さい。
また、美しい砂丘を守るために、「落書き」「ゴミのポイ捨て」は条例により厳しく禁じられております。

Tottori Sakyu (Tottori Sand Dunes) is the one of major tourist destination in Tottori Prefecture.
In 1955, this sand dunes are registered as the National Monument by Japanese government.
Since then, Tottori Sakyu is protected by the national and local government.

You can enter Sakyu 24/7 but there are no lightings at there.
Thus, it will be completely dark during the night.
If you enter there at the night time, please pay attention.
Moreover, to protect the beauty of the sand dunes, "graffiti" on the sand and "littering" are highly prohibited by the bylaw.

白兎海岸の西側の沖合いには、白兎が住んでいたとされる、「淤岐島」（おきのしま）があります。
海岸の東側は海水浴場として、にぎわいます。

That island is called Oki no Shima.
Oki no shima is said that the white rabbit used to live.

「因幡の白兎」の舞台となった白兎海岸のすぐ近くです。

この非常に珍しい石は、「この神社の創建に皇室の関わりがあるのでは？」と言われています。

Therefore, the empire might involve to build this shrine long long time ago.
* Chrysanthemum is a symbol flower of the loyal family in Japan.

三徳山三佛寺は鳥取県東伯郡にあります。
断崖絶壁のくぼみに建てられた「投入堂」（なげいれどう）は、国宝に登録されています。
どのようにして、900年近く前の人達が建てたのか不思議でなりません。

他にも多くの建造物が重要文化財に登録をされています。
三徳山も、名勝と史跡に登録をされています。

投入堂へは『登山』をすることとなります。
麓には本堂があり、その裏手にある登山事務所で入山受付を行います。
登山道は険しいため、気軽には登ることはができません。
汚れてもいい服、軍手、飲み物の準備は必要です。
また滑りやすい靴を履いている人は、事務所で草鞋を借りることができます。

投入堂（国宝） - Nageire-do（National Treasure）

Mitokusan(Mitoku Mountain) Sanfutsuji is located in Tohaku-gun, Tottori prefecture.
"Nageire-do" is amazingly location where is constructed at the completely sheer clif.
I have no idea how people built approximately 900 years ago...
In fact, even now people are still searching how to build this "National Treasure".

Not only Nageirido, other architectures are also recognized as Important Cultural Property.
In addition, Mitokusan (Mitoku Mountain) is listed as Historical Place and Scenic Beauty Site by Japanese government.


ATTENTION 
The way to "Nageire-do" is mountain trail.
At the foot of mountain, there is Hondo(main hall).
The back side of Hondo, there is a reception and you need to apply for the trail.
This mountain trail is tough therefore you need to prepare some stuff.
Work glove and drinks are essential.
Also, you can borrow the "Waraji" (Straw sandals) which prevent the slip at the reception.

3番乗り場から「上吉原」方面行きに乗車、「三徳山寺前」下車

40 mins by bus from JR Kurayoshi Station.
Get on the bus to "Kamiyoshihara" from No3 bus platform and get off at "Mitokusantera mae".
Please be careful that the number of buses are very much limited.

30mins drive from Kurayoshi city.
Parking area is available.

Utsubuki Tamagawa where is recognized as Important Preservation Districts for groups of Traditional Buildings is located in Kurayoshi city, Tottori Prefecture.
White walled traditional storehouses and traditional featured shops keep the fabulous atmosphere till the present moment.

無料観光駐車場が数箇所有り。

むきばんだ遺跡（妻木晩田遺跡）は、国内最大級の弥生時代の大集落の遺跡です。
鳥取県米子市と西伯郡大山町（さいはくぐんだいせん）にまたがるこの遺跡は、１/10ほどが発掘調査をされています。
吉野ヶ里遺跡よりも広い、巨大な集落跡です。

古代の生活様式を知る上で、非常に貴重なこの遺跡は国の史跡に登録され保護されています。

現在は公園としても整備され、貴重な遺跡を見学することができます。

Mukibanda Iseki (Tottori Mukibanda Yayoi Settlement Site) is huge site.
This may be the biggest ruins which show Yayoi era's settlements.

Absolutely, this is the important site therefore recognized as "Historical Site".

Currently, the site is opened for the public as a park and can see some of valuable ruins.
