建長寺も鎌倉五山の1つです。
1253年に宋の禅僧「蘭渓道隆」（らんけいどうりゅう）が開山をしました。
また蘭渓道隆は、この後に京都の建仁寺に入寺しています。

三門 - San-mon

現在の建物は創建当時の建物ではなく再建されたものですが、三門は1775年に建立、仏殿は1647年に移築されたもので、法堂は1814年の建立です。
庭園は名勝に指定されています。

Kencho-ji in Kamakura-shi, Kanagawa Prefecture is one of the five great Rinzai temples of Kamakura (Kencho-ji, Engaku-ji, Jufuku-ji, Jochi-ji, Jomyo-ji).
This temole was founded in 1253 by Rankei Ryudo who was from Song, old China dynasty.
Besides, he moved toKennin-ji in Kyoto.

Current buildings of Kencho-ji are not original and those were re-built.
However, Sanmon was built in 1775, Butsu-den was constructed in 1647 and Ho-do was done in 1814.
The garden is recognized as Scienic Beauty Garden.

豊臣秀吉とねねが好きだったと言われる花が植えられています。

書院前の北庭は名勝に指定されています。
元は伏見城にあった庭園を、移したものと言われています。
庭園内の岩は大名から献上されたものだそうです。
伏見城にあった際は、池に水が流れていたそうです。

Flowers loved by Hideyoshi TOYOTOMI and Nene were planted.

Hokutei (in front of Shoin) is recognized as Scenic Beauty Garden.
This garden was originally located in Fushimi-jo where is about 10km south from Entoku-in.
The rocks in this garden were presented by Daimyo to Hideyoshi TOYOTOMI.
When this garden was still in Fushimi-jo, the pond was filled with water.

訪れた日は結婚式がとり行われていたため、砂の上に写真撮影に使われた跡が残っていました。

The day when I visited, the marriage ceremony was held therefore the surface was prepared for phototaking.

Another garden(Teien) surrounding Kaisan-do has two ponds and rich vegetation.
Those color this garden gorgeous.
Besides, this garden is recognized as Scenic Beauty Garden by Japanese government.

依水園は奈良県では数少ない名勝庭園の1つです。

後園からは東大寺の南大門を見ることが出来ます。

This garden is the combination of two Chisen kaiyu-shiki garden(the stroll garden with ponds).
