Kochi-jo (Kochi Castle) stands on the enter of Kochi city.
This castle is one of twelve castles which remain the castle tower in Japan.
Not only the bergfried, there are another historical significant architectures remain.

The castle itself has "Azuchi-Momoyama period" style on the appearance and structures.
Therefore this style gives "old fashion" but also, "something new".

三徳山三佛寺は鳥取県東伯郡にあります。
断崖絶壁のくぼみに建てられた「投入堂」（なげいれどう）は、国宝に登録されています。
どのようにして、900年近く前の人達が建てたのか不思議でなりません。

他にも多くの建造物が重要文化財に登録をされています。
三徳山も、名勝と史跡に登録をされています。

投入堂へは『登山』をすることとなります。
麓には本堂があり、その裏手にある登山事務所で入山受付を行います。
登山道は険しいため、気軽には登ることはができません。
汚れてもいい服、軍手、飲み物の準備は必要です。
また滑りやすい靴を履いている人は、事務所で草鞋を借りることができます。

投入堂（国宝） - Nageire-do（National Treasure）

Mitokusan(Mitoku Mountain) Sanfutsuji is located in Tohaku-gun, Tottori prefecture.
"Nageire-do" is amazingly location where is constructed at the completely sheer clif.
I have no idea how people built approximately 900 years ago...
In fact, even now people are still searching how to build this "National Treasure".

Not only Nageirido, other architectures are also recognized as Important Cultural Property.
In addition, Mitokusan (Mitoku Mountain) is listed as Historical Place and Scenic Beauty Site by Japanese government.


ATTENTION 
The way to "Nageire-do" is mountain trail.
At the foot of mountain, there is Hondo(main hall).
The back side of Hondo, there is a reception and you need to apply for the trail.
This mountain trail is tough therefore you need to prepare some stuff.
Work glove and drinks are essential.
Also, you can borrow the "Waraji" (Straw sandals) which prevent the slip at the reception.

この武家屋敷に約5ヶ月間滞在し、熊本へ転任しました。

小泉八雲の多くの作品が、この家で書かれました。

Koizumi Yakumo (Lafcadio Hearn) lived in Matsue-shi, Shimane Prefecture.

He stayed the Buke Yashiki (a samurai residence) for eight monthes then he moved to Kumamoto Prefecture.

Most of his works were written in this house named Koizumi Yakumo Kyukyo (Koizumi Yakumo's Former Residence).

Buke-Yashiki itself is lovely but also the garden which influenced on Koizumi Yakumo is truly lovely.

むきばんだ遺跡（妻木晩田遺跡）は、国内最大級の弥生時代の大集落の遺跡です。
鳥取県米子市と西伯郡大山町（さいはくぐんだいせん）にまたがるこの遺跡は、１/10ほどが発掘調査をされています。
吉野ヶ里遺跡よりも広い、巨大な集落跡です。

古代の生活様式を知る上で、非常に貴重なこの遺跡は国の史跡に登録され保護されています。

現在は公園としても整備され、貴重な遺跡を見学することができます。

Mukibanda Iseki (Tottori Mukibanda Yayoi Settlement Site) is huge site.
This may be the biggest ruins which show Yayoi era's settlements.

Absolutely, this is the important site therefore recognized as "Historical Site".

Currently, the site is opened for the public as a park and can see some of valuable ruins.

堺台場跡は、鳥取県境港市に築かれた砲台の跡です。

1853年に築かれ、現在でも当時のままの遺構をほぼ保っています。

国の史跡に登録をされている、貴重な歴史の一部です。
堺台場公園の名で親しまれ、桜の名所としても有名です。

境港灯台が公園内にあり、公開をされていれば内部から眺めを楽しむ事ができます。

Sakai Daiba Ato (the old Sakai Battery) is generally known as "Sakai Daiba Koen" in Sakaiminato, Tottori.

In 1863, this battery was built and now this area is opened as the park.
Battery is almost completely kept as the original shape and listed as the "Historical site" by Japanese government.

Sakai Daiba Koen (Sakai Daiba Park) is loved by people because of Sakura spot.
About 350 Sakura trees are planted.
Also, there is a Sakaiminato Todai (Sakaiminato Lighthouse).
If you are lucky, you can enter and can enjoy the lovely view from there.
