15 蔵造りの街並み - Kuradukuri Townscape

小江戸川越と言えば蔵造りの街並み。
江戸時代に建てられた蔵造りは、江戸の街並みを今に残しています。
電線も地中化され、歴史的な街並みを保存し,重要伝統的建造物群保存地区として登録されています。

しかし目の前の県道を通過する車の量が多く、歩道が狭いため、散策する際はお気をつけ下さい。

Kawagoe is well know as 'Ko-edo' which means Little Edo and its townscape is based on Edo.
Kuradukuri which are built during Edo era and still remain Edo's townscape at this moment.
This area is listed as Important Preservation Districts for Groups of Traditional Buildings by Japanese government.
(Kura is the traditional store house.)
Powerlines are buried into the underground to save the historical townscape.
However, a prefectural highway through this are is extremely busy and path way is narrow.
Therefore, please pay attention to the passing vehicles.

東武東上線川越市駅より徒歩20分

川越駅、本川越駅、川越市駅より「小江戸巡回バス」にて、蔵の街下車

25 mins walk from Kawagoe Station (JR Saikyo Line, Kawagoe Line and Tobu Tojo Line)

20 mins walk from Hon Kawagoe Station (Seibu Shinjyuku Line)

20 mins walk from Kawagoe-shi station (Tobu Tojo Line)

There is also bus service from above stations.
Get off the Co-Edo Loop Bus at 'Kura no Machi' stop.
