依水園は奈良県では数少ない名勝庭園の1つです。

2つの池泉回遊式庭園からなり、前園は江戸時代に、後園は明治時代に作庭されました。
後園からは東大寺の南大門を見ることが出来ます。

Isui-en (Isui-en garden) is one of the few Scenic Beauty Garden in Nara city.
This garden is the combination of two Chisen kaiyu-shiki garden(the stroll garden with ponds).

Front garden was designed in Edo Era and the back garden was designed in Meiji Era.
From the back garden, you can see Nandai-mon at Todai-ji.

奈良市内中心部にある興福寺は世界遺産に登録されています。

興福寺の名前は710年から登場します。
明治時代の初期にお寺が荒れてしまいましたが、現在は境内の再建が進められています。

中金堂は古式工法を使用し、2018年に完成予定となっております。
同時に境内では発掘調査も行われているため、少し騒がしい雰囲気となっています。

Kofuku-ji (Kofuku-ji temple) is located in the center of Nara City and is recognized as a World Heritage Site.

In history, the name of Kofuku-ji appeared from year 710.
Unfortunately, in the early Meiji era, Kofuku-ji was devastated.
However, Kofuku-ji is now under the reconstruction project.

東金堂（国宝） - Tokon-do (National Treasure)

Chukon-do is one of reconstructing building which is using the traditional construction method will be completed in 2018.
In the same time,  the excavation survey is ongoing in the precinct.
Therefore, the atmosphere is bit uncomfortable right now.

飛鳥様式の建築様式でたてられた建物群が目を引くのが、西院伽藍です。
世界最古の木造建造物群の美しさは、言葉では言い表せません。

飛鳥様式を持つ建造物は非常に珍しく、法隆寺では金堂、五重塔、中門のみに見られます。

The significant feature of Sai-in Garan is the architectures which has "Asuka-yoshiki" style.
Those world's oldest existing wooden buildings are really beautiful and hard to describe with words.

Asuka-yoshiki is really rare in Japan.
In Horyu-ji, Kon-do, Goju-no-to and Chu-mon have this special features.
In addition, Sanju-no-to in Hoki-ji is only one Asuka-yoshiki building outside of Horyu-ji.
Those significant architectures are recognized as National Treasure by Japanese government.

Horyu-ji (Horyu-ji Temple) and Hoki-ji are first World Heritage Site in Japan.

Shotokutaishi who was a politician in 7th century set up this amazing temple.
Horyu-ji was constructed in the early 7th century but unfortunately burnt...
However, in late 7th century Horyu-ji was reconstructed.

聖霊院（国宝） - Shoryo-in (National Treasure)

This famous temple occupies huge land as like a town.
Many of architectures are recognized as National Treasure by Japanese government.
The two areaa, Sai-in Garan and To-in Garan, are main part of this enormous temple.

奈良県斑鳩にある「ほうきじ」は、かつては「ほっきじ」と呼ばれていました。
世界遺産への登録を機に、法隆寺と同じ読みに変えたそうです。

境内にある三重塔（国宝）は飛鳥時代（706年頃）に建てられた、現存する日本最古の三重塔です。

また法隆寺と共に、1993年に日本で最初の世界遺産に登録されました。

聖天堂 - Seiten-do

Hoki-ji in Ikaruga, Nara Prefecture used to be called "Hokki-ji".
However, this temple is now called as "Hoki-ji" to be the same pronunciation as "Horyu-ji" since Houkiji was recognized as a World Heritage site.

Sanju-no-to (National Treasure) was built in Aska Era (around year 706).
This is the oldest remaining Sanju-no-to in Japan.

法隆寺より徒歩約25分。

Entrance fee 300 Yen

Take Bus Route 81 to Koizumi from "Horyu-ji Eki" bus station(No 2 bus bay) at JR Horyu-ji station.
Then, get off the bus at "Hoki-ji mae" bus stop and right front.
Take about 8 mins, 220 Yen.
However, the bus service is extremely limited.
Only one in Saturday or Sunday, Public holiday (Depart at 9:15).

About 25 mins walk from Horyu-ji.
