丈六寺は阿波の法隆寺とも呼ばれる名刹です。
三門、本堂、観音堂といった伽藍は重要文化財に登録をされています。
観音堂に安置をされている、聖観音坐像がご本尊になります。

また血天井伝説が伝えられ、現在でも赤い手形のような物が残っております。

Joroku-ji is a notable temple in Tokushima Prefecture.
This temple is called as Horyu-ji in Awa too.

*Horyu-ji is one of famous temple in Nara.
Tokushima used to be called as Awa.

Sanmon, Hon-do, Kannon-do are recoginized as the Important Cultural Property by Japanese government.
The Goddess of Mercy(Avalokiteśvara) is enshirined in the Kannondo (a temple dedicated to the Kannon).
Joroku-ji is saccred to this beautiful Avalokiteśvara.

Moreover, there is a legend, "Bloody ceiling" and you can see red handshaped stain on the ceiling.

JR徳島駅より徳島市営バス2番乗り場から、五滝または八多または大久保行きに乗車。
「丈六北」下車、徒歩5分。

徳島市内より車で約20分。


Get on Tokushima Shiei Bus Route 11 (to "Gotaki" or to "Hata" or to "Okubo") from JR Tokushima Station bus bay No2.
Then get off the bus at "Joroku Kita" bus stop folowing 5mins walk.

20mins drive from Tokushima city.
